Background of the Foundation

Many citizens of the greater Edmonton community, including the founding members of the Foundation, have observed for some years that the highway corridor extending from the south end of Leduc County through the City of Leduc into the City of Edmonton, Alberta, suffers from neglect.  There is a lack of architectural and design standards which leaves a poor impression to the travelling public.  This too is the first impression of our Capital Region for first-time visitors.  We believe positive changes would improve the image of the Capital Region, enhance the experience of the travelling public, and give a sense of pride in the entrance to the Capital.
